World Environment Day, 2024

World Environment Day 

     World Environment Day (WED) was established in 1972 by the UN General Assembly. The first celebration of WED, with the theme "Only One Earth," was held in 1973. Over the years, WED has grown to become a forum for bringing attention to environmental issues, including air pollution, plastic pollution, illegal wildlife trade, sustainable consumption, rising sea levels, and food security. It also plays a significant role in influencing changes in consumption patterns and national and international environmental policies.

Under the theme "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience" World Environment Day, 2024 is celebrate.

     पुस्तकोपहार कार्यक्रम का आयोजन  विद्यालय द्वारा प्रत्येक वर्ष किया जाता है। जिसका लक्ष्य, वरिष्ठ सहपाठियों द्वारा कनिष्ठ सहपाठियों को पुस्तकें भेंट स्वरूप प्रदान कर सामाजिक, आर्थिक व पर्यावरणीय स्तर में वृद्धि करके एक उज्ज्वल भविष्य की ओर कदम बढ़ाना है।

International Labour's Day

International Labour/Worker's Day 

          The first day of May is observed as International Labor Day, honoring laborers everywhere. On this day, we honor laborers and workers and march for their rights in opposition to exploitation. It came about as a result of the eight-hour labor union campaign. 

           In the US, this day began as a union campaign in the late 1800s. Following the adoption of a resolution by the Marxist International Socialist Congress, which demanded that workers not be forced to work more than eight hours, it became an occasion and is still observed on May 1 as Labour Day. It respects people's efforts and recognizes their accomplishments everywhere. The first May Day was observed in 1890. The International Congress of Socialist Parties in Europe proclaimed May 1 as a "workers day of international unity and solidarity for workers in Paris" on July 14, 1988.

          In India, the inaugural Labour Day was observed in Chennai in 1923. It was also in India at same time
